The Advisory Council is a trusted group of diverse ambassadors and valued advisors that provides non-binding strategic advice, technical expertise, and fresh perspectives to LWOB leadership, staff, and the Board of Directors. The Advisory Board guides and mentors, helps build networks and partnerships, participates in special events, and promotes the mission of LWOB. The Advisory Council's role shall be purely ministerial and advisory and the fiduciary responsibility for the management of LWOB's business and affairs shall rest with the Board of Directors. LWOB honors the service of Advisory Council members on its website and in organizational materials.
Advisory Council members are experienced subject matter experts and liaisons who bring deep expertise and experience in a variety of areas to support LWOB's mission of promoting international pro bono service, value for the rule of law, and good governance. While members come from partner law firms and our volunteer pool, not all are lawyers, the group is diverse and includes non-lawyers. As LWOB operates globally, the Advisory Council members come from around the world. Service allows Advisory Council members to give back to the community, develop a network, and engage in strategic dialogue.
